A typical Metasys® Building Control system has supervisory controller acting as the bus master for the N2 bus and unitary controller, application specific controller, and sensor components. Typically, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of the system is extremely expensive because of its proprietary architecture and design. An integration solution that left the Metasys® field gear intact, but allowed compartmentalized integration of third party open systems devices would create significant cost savings in maintaining and updating the system.
